Not Your Momma's Wimpy Workout Routine

Call them resistance bands, fitness bands, or exercise tubes.  Those stretchy lengths of rubber pack more punch than you may realize and I think they get a bad rap.  If you buy the right system, you'll be able to get a better strength training workout than any single machine in a gym could give you.

Case In Point:  You've probably seen videos or pictures of petite ladies in Spandex outfits stretching their resistance bands up and down and up and down.  Or those so-called "power pack" kits with an exercise mat, one "medium strength" resistance band, and a "workout" DVD.  Get real.

You'll be underestimating the power of resistance bands if you buy into that mindset.  It's like driving a Ferrari and never going over 50 mph.

If you've been considering investing in a gym membership or buying some expensive piece of equipment capable of only giving you a few workout options, consider resistance bands.  Their light weight, compact, and whisper quiet.  You can take them anywhere and get a total body workout anytime.  Use them alone or clip them together onto comfortable handles for added resistance.

Bodylastics is a critical part of my training. It is the best tool for personal training I have ever used and the best band set on the market. I have a bad back that I broke in 1982 and the Bodylastics system does not stress my spine like weights. -Dan Burke
